CEDAC hosts a visit from the representative of Bread for the World
On March 20, 2014, the Building Climate Resilient Farming Communities in Cambodia (BCR) project of CEDAC hosted a visit for Mr. Michael Kronenberg of Bread for the World, in Prey Veng province. Three CEDAC staff members accompanied the visit, to include Mr. Sam Vitou, Mr. Khin Daravuth and Mr. Eang Yorn. The objectives of the visit were to monitor and evaluate:
During the visit, participants visited four villages in three communes of Baphnom district and met farmer leaders and farmer promoters talking about the profile of the farmer community, the progress of beneficiary farmers, the best practices in climate smart agriculture and natural resources management within the community, the innovation and experimentation on household farming techniques which included multi-purpose farming, circle garden, bio-digester, ecological orange farming, and small irrigation preparation with the rice field...etc. As a result, the representative of Bread for the World and project staff members expressed their happiness with the huge progress of beneficiary farmers and the improvement of the community as a whole after cooperated with the project. However, the participants encouraged those successful farmers to widely disseminate their best practices in climate smart agriculture and natural resources management to other farmers in the villages for another success.
